Dave our airco guy came and did the nessaccery measurments and calculated we would need a 3.5 Ton cooling system. He gave us 4 basic options which means upgrades to a higher S.E.E.R. value starting from 13 SEER to 16 SEER. With a fived option for the Unico Hi-Velocity cooling system. Since the house runs on a oiltank in the basement i told him i would like to get rid of the oiltank and all the steampipes running through the basement. With that in mind he thinks the Hi-Velocity system is better since it seems easier to plan an upgrade to remove the radiators and go with forced hot air. Right now we have to look at our budget and see what is best also for the near future when we upgrade from oil to force air.
